Invest in high-performance Raspberry Pi RP2350 microcontroller chips to enhance your bespoke PCB designs.

You may now purchase Raspberry Pi's most recent in-house silicon separately to use in your own designs. A choice between two Arm Cortex-M33 or RISC-V cores, greater clock speeds, additional on-chip RAM, support for external PSRAM, hardware floating point, and more are some advantages of this semiconductor!

There are two flavors of RP2350: A (standard) and B (all the pins). Eight ADCs and twenty-four PWMs are among the 48 useable GPIO pins on the B chip.

You will receive brand-new, naked RP2350 chips that are wrapped with cut tape. Check out the link below if you would rather purchase an already-built RP2350 microcontroller board!

Specification

Raspberry Pi RP2350A, the lead product in the RP235x range of microcontrollers, debuted on Raspberry Pi Pico 2 in August 2024, and has since seen use on Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W, and a variety of partner products.

In comparison with its predecessor, RP2040, RP235x offers:

  • A 150MHz system clock (versus 133MHz)
  • Dual Arm Cortex-M33 cores (versus dual Arm Cortex-M0+)
  • Dual RISC-V Hazard3 cores
  • 520KB RAM (versus 264KB)
  • 8KB on-chip OTP storage
  • A comprehensive security model, based on Arm TrustZone for Cortex-M
  • Improved power consumption
  • An additional PIO core
  • More GPIOs and ADC channels (RP2350B only)
SWITCH IT UP

The unique dual-core, dual-architecture capability of RP2350 provides a pair of industry-standard Arm Cortex-M33 cores, and a pair of open-hardware Hazard3 RISC-V cores, selectable in software or by programming the on-chip OTP memory.

RP235x Design Guidelines

To ensure correct operation, please adhere to the following guidelines when designing with RP235x microcontrollers:

  • Please read and follow the RP235x design guide.
  • Please refer to the datasheet, including errata and the reference design in KiCAD format.
  • Please use the 12 MHz Abracon ABM8-272-T3 crystal oscillator.
  • If using the on-chip SMPS, please use the custom polarised inductor from Abracon (AOTA-B201610S3R3-101-T), and orient it according to the instructions in the design guide.
